Former President Jacob Zuma is preparing to address South Africa on Sunday as the country waits to see if he will be going to jail, as ordered by the Constitutional Court.
The Jacob Zuma Foundation said on Twitter that the former statement s application for his sentence of 15 months imprisonment will be heard in the High Court in Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday.
This while his appeal to the highest court in the land itself is still pending.
Zuma wants to prevent the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, from arresting him.
In a landmark ruling, the Constitutional Court on Tuesday handed Zuma a 15-month term for contempt after he snubbed a probe into the theft of state assets under his tenure.
