It s official:
Rogue Squadron as the first woman to direct a feature in the franchise. While the upcoming Star Wars project will take inspiration from books and games, it won t be a direct adaptation of these past projects about the notorious space group. But first, a crucial question: what exactly is the Rogue Squadron? Long story short, it s basically a Rebel Alliance starfighter group cobbled together by Luke Skywalker during the Galactic Civil War.
Rogue Squadron is sentimentally named after Rogue One, the group of Rebels (including Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor) who heroically retrieve the Death Star plans and send them to the Rebel Alliance. In the OG Star Wars (

The latest episode of “The Mandalorian” is so full of deep cuts, obscure references, and cool “easter eggs,” it deserves an entire piece devoted to it. With pulls from Prequels, a sly nod to a 90s classic, and maybe even a reference to a great British comedy bit, “The Believer” has it all.
Junkyard TIEs and Cranes TIE fighters are all throughout this episode, beginning with the opening shots of this episode. We find Mayfeld in the “Chop Fields” where he breaks down old, decommissioned TIE fighters for the New Republic. In the background, we see more of those AT-AT based cranes that we glimpsed when Mando crashed the Razor Crest into the water with The Child and Frog Lady in tow earlier this season.

However, it is always fun to at least think about what players might be available if they do choose to make a selection.
There is still much that we don’t yet know about the 2021 season. I think we assume that active rosters will be 26 as was intended to be the case in 2020 until COVID-19 rules changed that to 28. But if there are 28, there is little reason not to take a shot with a player if you believe their upside is worth it. With a 26 player roster, and with aspirations of winning a playoff series and more in 2021, it is much less likely that the Twins would make a pick.
