The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be celebrating their first Christmas in California with their one-year-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The Royal Family open their presents on Christmas Eve as a nod to their German heritage.
While most Brits traditionally open their gifts on December 25th, the Queen and her relatives do the main present swapping the day before.
It s something that they have done for generations, as it s how Queen Victoria s husband Prince Albert insisted on doing things after they wed in 1841.
