A COMMUNITY has rallied together to provide meals for volunteers during the Covid vaccination programme. Pickering businesses, including The White Swan Inn, The Sun Inn, The Black Swan, Thomas the Baker, Co-operative, Hanns the Butcher, Scrumptious Deli, Willowgate Bistro and Taylors of Pickering, volunteered their time to support the Pickering Medical Practice in vaccinating more than 900 people on January 6 and 7. The effort was led by Cllr Carrie-Anne Brackstone, Pickering Mayor Helen McAnulty-Rickard and a team of more than 25 volunteers. Victor Buchanan, owner of The White Swan Inn, said: “It was a community effort all around and we’re happy to help anyway we can.

Dürer’s house (Nürnberg)
German artist Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528) is generally regarded as one of the most important and influential Northern Renaissance artists. Inspired by the new techniques being developed in Italy, Dürer translated these into a Germanic tradition, becoming famous for his sets of woodcuts, although he was also a talented painter in oils and watercolors.
