The Interior Ministry has placed PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal s name on the Exit Control List.
It was included in the no-fly list on the National Accountability Bureau s request over the Narowal Sports City Complex case. The case is being heard by an accountability court in Islamabad.
The federal cabinet approved the decision on Friday.
Iqbal, a former interior minister, is accused of causing losses worth billions to the national exchequer by initiating the sports city project in his home constituency.

ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal s name has been added to the Exit Control List by the interior ministry, sources said Friday.
The former federal minister is accused of causing losses worth billions to the national exchequer by initiating the Narowal Sports City Complex project in his home constituency.
The National Accountability Bureau says the sports city project was conceived on the instruction of Iqbal without any feasibility in 1999. This project was first called the Sports Stadium Narowal.

ISLAMABAD: The interior ministry added on Friday the name of PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal to the Exit Control List.
Iqbal s name was added to the no-fly list on request by the National Accountability Bureau, which is investigating him in the Narowal Sports City Complex corruption reference.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday granted Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) President Shahbaz Sharif a “one time” permission to fly abroad for medical treatment and ordered the government to remove his name from the Exit Control List.
The ruling, delivered by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, stressed that the permission would span a specific time period starting from May 8 and expiring on July 5. It was delivered as a result of a petition filed by Sharif seeking the removal of his name from the no-fly list. Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif secured one time permission by Lahore High Court on Friday to seek treatment abroad.
A hearing to remove his name from the government s no-fly blacklist was held today to deliberate the matter, which was presided over by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi.
Shahbaz had approached the court to grant him permission as a cancer survivor to seek treatment abroad. In his petition, moved through Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar and Advocate Amjad Pervez, Shahbaz had stated that after getting bail in Ashiana Housing and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases, he went abroad and came back.
