When current head coach Zac Taylor was ushered in, Pollack went elsewhere. Jim Turner was brought in by Taylor, and let’s just say it would’ve been difficult to continue his contract following the offensive line’s performance in 2020.
The most notable moment was when Joe Burrow was hit against Washington and tore his ACL. While that defined the season, Burrow had been getting lit up in the pocket on a weekly basis. He was sacked 16 times in a three-game stretch last season.
The hope is that Pollack, with the right resources, can change the Bengals fortune.
The Bengals today named Frank Pollack as the team’s offensive line coach and run game coordinator. Pollack, 53, previously served as the Bengals offensive line coach in 2018, before spending the last two seasons (’19-20) with the N.Y. Jets.
