Seven overseas Filipinos have recovered, according to the latest DFA bulletin.
This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases involving overseas Filipinos to 16,569. Of this number, 10,065 have so far recovered, 5,446 are undergoing treatment, and 1,058 succumbed to the disease.
The total number of countries and territories with confirmed cases among Filipinos abroad has increased to 91 following new reports received from a country in Asia and the Pacific.
Among all the geographical regions, the Middle East and Africa continue to register the most numbers in all categories, namely confirmed cases (9,078); recoveries (4,963); under treatment (3,433), and fatalities (682).

One fatality was recorded in the tally.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases and recoveries among our nationals abroad to 15,928 and 9,645, respectively. Of the total, 5,239 are undergoing treatment while 1,044 individuals have died since the outbreak of the pandemic in February last year.
The Middle East and Africa remain as the region with the most number in all categories, namely, total cases (8,881); recoveries (4756); under treatment (3,453), and deaths (672).
“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, remains fully committed to monitoring and assisting our nationals abroad amid the pandemic,” the department said in a statement. #
