I am a wife and hard-working mother of a blended African American and Latinx family. A 12-year resident, I have found Wellesley to be a welcoming community. Working in the private and public schools as a teacher and coach gives me a variety of experience collaborating with the School Department, Wellesley Police Department, Board of Health, Celebrations, local businesses and other committees/ boards. I ve gained tremendous insight into town affairs. I ve previously worked in scientific and corporate fields, understanding research and how to delegate appropriate tasks. Mark Yone is a 40-year-old union dairy worker and lifelong Rockford resident who said that if elected his service would honor the memory of Beck, a beloved alderman and advocate for the disabled who died in April 2020 at age 57 after 19 years on the City Council. I love Rockford, Yone wrote in response to a Rockford Register Star questionnaire. I was born here, raised here, and it s where I m raising my family. I ve been with Rockford through thick and thin and know that Rockford has great potential, and look forward to the future of this wonderful city.
Lexington High again advances in GBH s `Quiz Show

“High School Quiz Show” revealed the competition bracket for season 12 of the academic series from Boston public media producer GBH.
Lexington High School, which took home the trophy in seasons 7 and 8, is marking its 10th consecutive advancement to the bracket stage, with the longest active streak and also tying for the longest in the show’s history.
Following the program’s first-ever virtual Super Sunday qualifying quiz on Jan. 24, 17 high school teams from across Massachusetts advanced to the televised competition. In a season of firsts, “High School Quiz Show” is also welcoming four new teams, including the first team of home-schooled students in the show’s history. The two-time defending champion Boston Latin School, as well as four other former champions, also will be competing.

WELLESLEY, MA Wellesley Public Schools called an early dismissal on Tuesday ahead of the incoming snowstorm.
All Wellesley students will be sent home before noon due to the incoming snowstorm, officials are bracing for the third storm in eight days. The district canceled all afternoon and evening activities, including athletics. Grab-and-go lunches will be available for students as they are dismissed.
The district added that with the early dismissal, all viral testing samples being returned today must be dropped off to school by 11:30 a.m.
