Weller Foundation $15,000 Scholarship for Joel Barlow, Masuk, Newtown, Shelton, and Trumbull High School Students Written by Kimberly Hufschmied
The Weller Foundation, Incorporated, has announced that students who will be full-time seniors at Joel Barlow, Masuk, Newtown, Shelton, and Trumbull High School this fall may now request brochures from their Guidance Offices outlining specific rules for the 2021-2022 $15,000 Barton L. Weller Scholarship.
Established in 1978, the purpose of this $15,000 Scholarship is to encourage academic excellence in a substantial five-month original independent research or study project. Students may begin to formulate their one- to two-page proposal outlining the student’s project in any field of study. A student may submit only one proposal. Proposals must be submitted to their School’s Guidance Department for verification prior to being received by the Foundation by October 4, 2021.
Four Joel Barlow High School Seniors Receive Awards from The Weller Foundation Written by PR
In recognition of their exemplary achievements, four Joel Barlow High School senior students recently received awards from The Weller Foundation, Incorporated.
The Recipient of the
$500 Eleanor F. Moore Business Award is Jonas Hawk, son of David and Helene Hawk of Redding. This award was established in 1973 to honor an outstanding senior who has demonstrated the ability to achieve recognition in business. Jonas will be attending Marist College in the fall to study Business Administration.
The recipient of the
$500 Paul W. Broggi Communications Award is Max Monson, son of David and Allyson Monson of Redding. This award was established in 1986 to honor an outstanding senior who has demonstrated the ability to achieve recognition in communications. Max will be attending George Washington University to study Political Science in the Fall.
