WDIV-Local 4, in keeping with the station’s initiative of “Celebrating Black History” throughout February, will air a primetime special called “History 4 All” on Wednesday, February 24 at 8 p.m.

From what should be taught in our schools’ history classes to why we still need Black History Month, Local 4′s anchors and reporters highlight topics impacting on our local communities and beyond.
“Our hope is that these in-depth stories will spark conversations about how we all benefit from a diverse community like we have here in Metro Detroit,” said Vice President and General Manager Marla Drutz.

A missing girl found in a car with three men during a traffic stop Sunday night in Tarentum told police the men had forced her to use drugs, drink alcohol and have sex with them, according to criminal complaints filed against the men.
Police said the girl told them she was afraid of becoming pregnant, and one of the men, identified as James Sledge, threatened to kill her family if she didn’t do what they told her.
Arrested in connection with the incident were Sledge, 32, of McKeesport; Victor Williams, 33, also of McKeesport; and Houston Goins, 54, of Pittsburgh.

The virtual event, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, is a two-part lecture on the history of African American architects in the United States. African Americans have contributed to the American landscape of architecture despite many educational and inclusion disparities.
