Olivia Rodrigo drops angry punk rock banger good 4 u | 104 5 & 96 1 The Point

By Syndicated Content Geffen Records Olivia Rodrigo drops her debut album  Sour and, on Friday, the 18-year-old actress gave fans another taste by releasing her vengeful banger “good 4 u.” The single follows the  High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star’s prior single, “Deja Vu,” but this new offering marks a major departure from the sound fans came to expect from her. While “Drivers License” was a sorrowful ballad and “Deja Vu” was a pop-infused breakup song, “good 4 u” sees Olivia playing the jilted ex and embodying the raw anger that comes with a broken heart. “Good 4 u” borrows themes from

Dodie Breaks Down Every Song on Her Debut Album Build a Problem

Ten years after uploading her first original song on YouTube, dodie has released her debut studio album, Build a Problem. Though this marks her first full-length release, the 25-year-old British singer-songwriter, born Dorothy Miranda Clark, has established a strong online presence with nearly 2 million subscribers on her main YouTube channel, and her three independently released EPs – 2016’s Intertwined, 2017’s  You, and 2019’s  Human – went on to reach the UK pop charts. One thing dodie’s videos and her music have in common is that they both can feel like soul-baring admissions of vulnerability. Throughout her career, she’s channeled that intimacy through lush folk pop built around soft vocals and plucky acoustic guitars, and her debut LP is no different – this time, though, the variations in sound and mood also reflect the contradictions she often speaks about in her discussions of mental health. Working with producer Joe Rubel as well as an 13-piece orches

April has been the designated celebration of International Guitar Month since 1987, so before the calendar tiptoes into May, we’re going to hail the instrument most often played in invisible form in front of a mirror or behind a steering wheel (who is that so artfully tearing out the riff – sans instrument – to Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way?” Oh, certainly not I!).
