All applications must be submitted through the online portal. Recorded webinar training, program information and the application are all available at https://www.vermont-cdbg-cv.com/ Eligible applicants must be either Sole Proprietors with no W2 employees, or S-Corp owners with no W2 employees. Applicants may have received CDBG-CV or other grants but must have remaining unmet need. Other key applicant eligibility criteria include: • Low to Moderate Income household per federal guidelines. • For-profit entity, providing goods or services to clients.

Banner, Reformer, Journal sold | Vermont Business Magazine

Vermont Business Magazine The owner of the Brattleboro Reformer, Bennington Banner, Manchester Journal and UpCountry Magazine is selling the properties to a new group formed by Paul Belogour of Guilford, Vermont. The Reformer and Banner are daily newspapers, the Journal is a weekly and UpCountry is a lifestyle magazine that covers the Berkshires and Bennington and Windham counties in Vermont. They were all part of New England Newspapers Inc, which includes the daily Pittsfield (MA) Eagle. NENI president and publisher Fredric D Rutberg made the announcement today. He said they are holding onto the Eagle as they expand the digital products. All employees will be retained. Financial terms were not disclosed.

PC Construction pledges $60K to fight hunger | Vermont Business Magazine

Related Company:  Vermont Business Magazine The employee-owners of PC Construction have once again prioritized hunger relief in their corporate giving, announcing today that the company will give a total of $60,000 to hunger-fighting organizations in 2021.  The company also gave substantially to hunger relief in 2020, as the number of Vermont families struggling with food insecurity increased from 10% to 25% in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. PC committed more than $90,000 to hunger-related causes last year.   For 2021, PC opted to move up its donations earlier in the year, so that the funding could be used to help support families with school-age children during the summer months, when free school lunch programs are either not available or are harder to access.

The COTS Walk, presented by Rice Lumber, is the nonprofit s  largest annual event and a  critical fundraiser. This year s fundraising goal is $205,000. With just a few days left before COTS Walk Day, COTS is more than 60 percent of the way toward that fundraising goal. Last year, COTS online and  virtual experience. VHFA to reopen Mortgage Assistance Program | Vermont Business Magazine

Thu, 04/29/2021 - 4:29pm tim Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont program that helps homeowners who have fallen behind on their mortgage or property taxes during the COVID-19 pandemic will re-open on Monday, May 3, 2021. The Mortgage Assistance Program, will provide grants covering up to 12 months of past due mortgage payments and property taxes for eligible homeowners. Funded through the federal CARES Act, the program operated first in July through December 2020, providing 636 Vermont households with grants averaging $6,000. With average monthly mortgage payments of $1,200, most of these households owed three months or more of payments and the majority were in a forbearance. The program is administered by Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) but is open to all eligible homeowners regardless of loan servicer.
