National Night Out events coming in La Crosse, Eau Claire
Events are planned in hundreds of communities in Wisconsin, Minnesota.

UNDATED (WKBT) – Vernon County emergency responders will hold their second annual ‘National Night Out’ on Tuesday.
The event takes place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Vernon County Fairgrounds in Viroqua.
“Getting into the community. Wandering around with each other. Talking, communicating, reconnecting. And most importantly, reconnecting with our first responders in the community. Fire, EMS, law enforcement, all of it,” said Vernon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy William Zirk.
There are many other National Night Out events taking place throughout our area.
Coon Valley firefighters extinguish blaze engulfing semi-tractor cab

COON TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WKBT) The Coon Valley Fire Department extinguished a blaze that ruined a semi-tractor cab shortly after noon Monday in Coon Township.
The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center paged the fire department at about 12:15 p.m. about the fire at the intersection of County Hwy. B and County Hwy. KK.
The cab was engulfed in flames when the fire crews arrived, but all units Engine 1, Squad 1 and Tender 1 were clear within about an hour, according to a news release.
