Drag Race UK season two, episode three: the funniest Twitter reactions

EastEnders makeover is the only fashion school you need (BBC) Drag Race UKseason two has been an absolute tonic so far. From the minute we heard the absolute bop that is To the Moon blast out again, it was like we were transported back to a happier, pre-COVID time. The queens this year are diverse and – mostly – bloody hilarious (we’re looking at you, Lawrence Cheney) and the challenges have been delightfully random. Who could ever possibly forget the deeply bizarre Rats the Rusical: even if you really, really want to. There have been some sickening plot twists (RIP Joe Black, we hardly knew ya), and scintillating outfits (Veronica Green, marry us). Another thing that’s been consistent are the absolutely fantastic tweets and memes that pop up after each episode, which are almost as entertaining as the show itself.

Rochdale News | News Headlines | RuPaul s Drag Race: Rochdale s Veronica Green sparkles in episode two

Veronica Green (right) as Evita Von Fleas in Rats - The Rusical Veronica Green proved she is definitely one to watch in RuPaul’s Drag Race UK competition after she was crowned overall winner of the second episode which aired on Thursday (21 January). The pressure was on the remaining 11 contestants of series two as their singing, acting, and dancing skills were put to the test in Rats - The Rusical, Drag Race s first ever live musical and a spin-off of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s popular Cats. Shown on BBC iPlayer, ‘Lancashire lass’ Veronica wowed the judges after taking control of the seductive lead ‘Evita Von Fleas’. The 35-year-old gave a strong performance and her experience in theatre showed, as she sported a skin-tight, nude suit and a voluminous red wig, similar to that of the equally sultry Jessica Rabbit.

Drag Race UK s unhinged Rats: The Rusical sees underdogs rise up

RuPaul s Drag Race UK S2E2 Recap: Memories? I Hardly Know Her

This week s Ruscial did the impossible: it (almost) redeeemed Cats . We missed you too. Sign up to our newsletter, and follow us on Instagram and Twitter, so you always know where to find us. Drag Race UK just did the unthinkable: it redeemed  Cats. This week’s ‘Rusical’ challenge saw the queens sing live while dancing through Rats, an on-point parody which was 1000x more watchable than a film where James Corden being cast isn’t even the lowest of its lows. But this, according to my editor, isn’t ‘Jared’s personal blog where he talks about 2019 films he hates’. This is now, in a completely unforeseeable turn of events, a joint Bimini and Veronica Green stan recap, where I will launch an official petition for an ‘odd couple’ BBC sitcom starring the two.

Darlington drag queen second to leave RuPaul s Drag Race UK

Sashay away: Darlington drag queen second to leave Ru Paul s Drag Race UK NORTH-EAST drag artist Cherry Valentine has become the second queen to leave RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. The 26-year-old from Darlington, County Durham, was eliminated from the competition after losing to Tayce in a lip sync battle to Memory by Elaine Paige. Thursday’s episode featured Sheridan Smith and Alan Carr on the judging panel alongside Michelle Visage and head judge RuPaul. Cherry, posting a photo of herself with mascara running down her face after being eliminated, said: You haven t seen anything yet. There’s so much to talk about. Watching that was tough. But for now, all i’ll say is that I love drag with every fibre of my being, and you haven’t seen anything yet. ♥️ pic.twitter.com/Omeoxj47vt Cherry Valentine (@TheCValentine) January 21, 2021
