As a result, the Kuala Lumpur High Court postponed to May 24 today’s initially scheduled hearing of the association’s legal challenge over the delay in implementing the lowering of voting age. Undi18’s counsel Lim Wei Jiet told Malaysiakini today that the legal team had earlier written to the court informing about the quarantine involving one of their lawyers. Lawyer Mohd Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz, representing Musa, when contacted, said that Judge Datuk Rozana Ali Yusoff struck out the lawsuit after finding the plaintiff (Yeoh) had failed to comply with the court’s orders regarding the filing of certain pre-trial documents.

Earlier today in a case management, High Court judge Rozana Ali Yusoff had struck out the lawsuit due to technicalities involving the filing of certain pre-trial documents and with no order as to costs, but with Yeoh given the liberty to refile the defamation lawsuit.
