May 9, 2021 Police Line Do Not Cross (Miami, FL) At least three people are injured after getting shot at the Aventura mall in Miami Florida late Saturday afternoon. The extent of their injuries isn t known but they were taken to local hospitals with non-threatening life injuries. Police say two groups of people in the mall were arguing outside the Hugo boss store when shots were fired. Aventura Police Major Michael Bentolila told reporters that the shooter, a Black man who fled the scene was dressed in an all-black Adidas outfit, headed west and that multiple agencies are searching for him.

A $196.3 million tax package is headed to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ desk after lawmakers Friday signed off on a series of tax proposals. The package passed on the last day of the legislative session included sales-tax “holidays” for back-to-school shopping, hurricane-season preparations and encouraging people to get out for some entertainment and recreation. The House voted 117-1 to pass the package (HB 7061), which earlier received unanimous support from the Senate.
