One killed in head-on crash in Ventura
The crash was reported at 10:14 p.m. along East Harbor Boulevard just west of Sanjon Road.
First responders arrived on scene to find two vehicles had crashed into each other with at least one occupant trapped inside, authorities said.
The driver of one vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. No additional details about the identity of the victim were immediately available.
Two additional victims from the second vehicle were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries and the passenger suffered minor injuries, according to Cmdr. Sarah Starr of the Ventura Police Department.

Ventura Police investigating Sunday afternoon shooting in shopping center parking lot
VENTURA, Calif. - A broad daylight shooting is under investigation by the Ventura Police Department. It happened Sunday in the popular Montalvo Square shopping center on Victoria Avenue at 2:46 in the afternoon.
Police first becoming aware of the shooting when a gunshot victim showed up at the Community Memorial Hospital. Police say the 22-year-old victim and his friends were in a vehicle at the shopping center and were approached by four men. After an altercation, the victim was shot in the leg.
Injuries from the shooting are not to be life threatening, according to police.
