Carter Bankshares, Inc. Announces Fourth Quarter 2020 Financial Results
MARTINSVILLE, VA / ACCESSWIRE / January 28, 2021 / Carter Bankshares, Inc. (the Company ) (NASDAQ:CARE) today announced net income of $2.9 million, or $0.11 diluted earnings per share, for the fourth quarter of 2020 as compared to a net loss of $57.7 million, or $2.19 per share, in the third quarter of 2020 due to a one-time goodwill impairment charge of $62.2 million that was recorded in the third quarter of 2020. Excluding this one-time charge, net income in the third quarter of 2020 was $4.5 million as compared to net income of $3.6 million, or $0.14 diluted earnings per share, for the fourth quarter of 2019. Wendy Bell, the radio host let go by KDKA last fall, is joining WJAS Pittsburgh. She announced her new position in a Facebook post Wednesday.
“America needs common-sense conservatism,” she wrote.
JD Turco, senior vice president at St. Barnabas Broadcasting, which bought WJAS in November, confirmed Thursday that Bell will be joining the station.
“She’s going to be a conservative talk show host, in keeping with the lineup we have right now,” he said. “There’s a lot of conservative talk there. We believe she fits well into that lineup.”
