NON-COMPLIANCE OF COVID-19 REGULATIONS AND PROTOCOLS
This morning, Thursday, 17 December 2020, the University COVID-19 Response Task Team, Student Representative Council (SRC) and University Management held a joint meeting to address the rising concerns over the University community’s safety during the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting follows reports that were brought forward to the DUT Management, COVID-19 Response Task Team and SRC’s attention on Tuesday, 14 December 2020, that there are some members of the DUT community that are allegedly not adhering to the set strict COVID-19 guidelines and protocols set by the University and the National Department of Health.

But how do you spend money if you don’t have it because of debit orders that went off earlier than expected?

JOHANNESBURG - South African banks have on Tuesday come under fire for processing December debit orders earlier than usual.
But even as account holders express shock and frustration, financial service providers say it’s common for accounts to be debited early during the festive season
If you’ve got debit order agreements with various companies, there’s a good chance that some of them will take their money from your bank account before the month-end date.
While the dreaded virus has been the star of every show across every screen or channel in every country across the globe, it has pretty much not made it as the star of festive season advertising.

It happens every December - banks deduct debit orders earlier than the agreed monthly date.
Consumer journo Wendy Knowler has confirmed on CapeTalk that if a bank unilaterally debits a clientâs account on a date other than that agreed, it constitutes a breach.
However, there is an exception you might not have picked up in the fine print:
