Two men die in separate crashes in Wexford and Galway A man has died in a single car crash in Co Wexford. Emergency services attended the scene on the N25 at Drinagh on the Rosslare Road at around 1:40 this morning. A 25 year old man, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.  The driver, a woman in her 20s, is in hospital with serious injuries.  Two other passengers, a man in his late teens and a woman in her 20s, were treated for minor injuries. Gardaí in Wexford are appealing for witnesses, and particularly those with dash cam footage, to contact them.

HSE chief executive Paul Reid says the country could be on a good trend – with the effect of vaccines reducing sickness levels for the most vulnerable. 455 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 here, and 14 more patients are confirmed to have died. Three of those deaths were in April, with the rest spread across the first three months of the year.
