Lake of the Woods Speedway is looking forward to restrictions easing up and have announced a new date for their season opener.
“As of right now, the government has not indicated what level of capacity will be granted when stage two re-opening occurs and we’ll announce cost and availability of tickets, as soon as we know the numbers,” says Anthony Leek, President of Kenora Motorsport Entertainment.
Leek is hopeful this will be the final delay before the start of the season.
“Now that we have a better idea of what the re-opening plan, we have cancelled June 19 practice and cancelled the June 25 opener. We’ll now have a practice on Saturday, June 26 – no spectators, unfortunately, and have postponed Friday July 2, to run our season opener on Sunday, July 4 instead.”

For the fourth year in a row, Q104 has secured naming rights for the fastest class at Lake of the Woods Speedway. The Q104 WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds will join the WISSOTA Pure Stocks and 4-Cylinder classes at the track this race season. Very happy to have Q104 back with the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds. Lake of the Woods Speedway is hoping to host 10 events this summer, with the first scheduled for June 25, 2021.
