Wheeling aquatic center opening postponed

Due to a forecast of inclement weather, the Wheeling Park District s Family Aquatic Center won t open for the season as planned Saturday.
A new opening date wasn t scheduled.

Four Wheeling Park District Park Commissioners To Be Seated May 4

The results of the April 6 consolidated election have been certified and three incumbents and one write-in candidate were selected, through the public voting process, as Wheeling Park District Commissioners. As required by state statute, the four newly-elected Wheeling Park District Commissioners will be officially seated at the regularly-scheduled Board meeting on Tuesday, May 4, at the Community Recreation Center.
Incumbents Sue Stein, Brian Lichtenberger and Paul Zangara retain their seats on the Board for another four years. Newcomer Isaac Brubaker was elected to a four-year term as a write-in candidate.
