Most hospitality and leisure venues have been closed since the country was plunged into a third national lockdown on January 6, and business owners and staff are thrilled to get back to work, while customers are chomping at the bit to get back to the pub or get a haircut.

Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College has kept two guiding interests in mind when making decisions about the Fall 2021 semester: (1) keeping students, faculty, staff, and communities safe, and (2) helping student achieve their academic goals.
With these important objectives in mind, AWC’s Fall 2021 Instruction Plan will include course offerings in five different modalities. The varying formats were chosen to help students return to instructional modes that best fit their lifestyle. Not all of these modes will be offered at all times:
In-Person – students meet for class in-person learning in classrooms or lab space.
Hybrid – students meet with faculty and classmates a minimum 50% of the time in-person at specified times each week, and 50% of the remaining class time is online.

A former recycling center is destined to be converted into commuter parking.
The Manteca City Council when they meet tonight at 7 p.m. is expected to approve the purchase of 0.46 acres at 346 and 372 Moffat Boulevard the site of the former Manteca Recycling Center to expand the Manteca Transit Center parking lot. The agreed upon price is $350,000.

MONT ALTO, Pa. For a second consecutive year, Penn State Mont Alto was recognized for providing veterans with support through college and beyond.
The campus was awarded gold distinction as a 2021-22 Military Friendly School by the organization Viqtory. Now in its 19th year, the list of designees announced Feb. 17 provides a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families using data from federal agencies, veteran students and survey information from participating organizations.
