COLUMBUS, Ohio - Donnie Yantis, head football coach at Colorado’s Valor Christian High School, knows what its like to recruit his four-star 2022 running back, Gavin Sawchuk.
Yantis was an Arizona State recruiting coordinator back in Sawchuk’s freshman year. He saw the film of the speedster from Colorado and immediately pushed the Sun Devils to extend the offer.

Running back Gavin Sawchuk, from Valor Christian High School in Littleton, Colorado, and a 5-star recruit for the Class of 2022, wants to visit the University of Washington.
It s been highly recommended to him by someone he trusts, a current Husky offensive lineman.
That s enough for him. I ve spoken with my former Valor teammate Roger Rosengarten about his experience at Washington and he loves it there, Sawchuk said.

Northern Colorado coach Ed McCaffrey brought in a graduate-transfer quarterback that he definitely loves.
His name: Dylan McCaffrey, the third oldest of his four boys and a highly touted quarterback with two years of eligibility remaining after leaving Michigan.
The father played it coy when asked about Dylan.
“We have a lot of kids in our program: What’s the last name?” Ed McCaffrey cracked Thursday in a virtual news conference.
Now comes the pressure: From his wife and Dylan’s mom, Lisa.
“If things don’t go right, Lisa is going to be upset,” the coach and former NFL receiver said.

Former Michigan Wolverines quarterback Dylan McCaffrey entered the transfer portal earlier this month, and on Sunday he announced his destination: the school where his dad and three-time Super Bowl champion is the head coach.
McCaffrey announced on Twitter that he’ll transfer to Northern Colorado, where his father, Ed McCaffrey, serves as the head football coach.
