Overseas Pakistanis have remitted $1.5 billion through Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) with a large chunk of these funds having gone into Naya Pakistan Certificates.
Pakistan’s prime minister Imran Khan shared the “good news” from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Sunday morning.

Job seekers alert: Careem hiring for 100 positions across UAE, GCC

The company started remote-hiring efforts at the end of 2020.
Uber-owned Careem has vacancies for around 100 positions in the UAE and GCC region, the company said.
“Careem is constantly hiring and has grown the team of tigers by almost double since mid-2020. We currently have 100 openings across UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar,” it said in a statement to Khaleej Times.
“Careem started remote-hiring efforts at the end of 2020, allowing us to tap into a global talent pool. Specifically ‘Careem Engineering’ is looking for a very specific set of talent, some of which are located in Eastern Europe. The specific skills we are looking for are mobile engineers (IOS, Android) and data science/machine learning backend engineers”, the statement emphasised.

An Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday, ordered the remand of three students of Ifeoluwa Co-Educational Grammar School in Ilesa Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting teachers and students of the school.
The defendants are: Adeniyi Timileyin, 18; Tajudeen Akinlolu, 20 and Waheed Abbas, 19, according to newsmen.
The students, however, pleaded not guilty to the seven-count charge of conspiracy, assault, malicious damage, breach of peace, unlawful possession and threat to life.
The Magistrate, Isola Omisade, ordered the remand of the defendants in the correctional centre due to the magnitude of the offences preferred against them.
He, thereafter, adjourned the case till March, for judgment.
