HOLLAND TWP. Officials are considering pausing multifamily housing development in Holland Township as the pace of new development continues to grow.  The township board weighed imposing a moratorium July 15 that would have halted major residential developments, including those requiring zoning map amendments and site plan reviews, for nine months.  Board members voted to table it, uncomfortable with blindsiding developers and with the length of the proposed moratorium. A voted is expected at the next board meeting.  Significant volume of new housing   Community Development Director John Said estimates nearly 1,000 new units of multifamily housing  a significant volume of new housing have been approved in the township in the past several years.
