I read on the “pa covid vaccine matchmaker” Facebook page they are vaccinating 6000 a day and have many openings. Just be willing to drive a little instead of sitting and waiting for a phone call for something local. Also start following the Facebook page referenced above for everything vaccine related. It’s loaded with information.

Starting Thursday, California homeowners who are over the age of 55 or are disabled or victims of a natural disaster can transfer their previous property-tax base when they sell their home and purchase a more expensive one.
The benefit, which is part of Proposition 19 approved by voters during the Nov. 3, 2020 election, allows eligible homeowners to transfer their property s assessed value to a home up to three times more expensive. Under the previous law, homeowners could only transfer their base-year assessed value to a home of equal or lesser value. The province is making swift changes to its Disaster Recovery Program (DRP) which could have drastic effects on Alberta communities and leave homeowners vulnerable.
Minister of Municipal Affairs Ric McIver sent a letter to chief elected officials explaining the changes. Going forward, the DRP will be split on a 90-10 basis, which means the municipality will be responsible for 10 per cent of the costs borne for disaster relief.
“These changes are intended to share the responsibility of disasters with all those who are impacted and to make the program more sustainable for future events,” said McIver’s letter.
This is a concern for Drumheller Mayor Heather Colberg and Chief Resiliency and Flood Mitigation Officer Darwin Durnie.
