Whittlesey care home needs improving says CQC

Published: 11:57 AM January 21, 2021    Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission have rated Keneydon House in Whittlesey (pictured) as requires improvement . - Credit: Google Earth Inspectors who arrived at a Fenland care home unannounced have said it ‘requires improvement’ in its latest findings.  Keneydon House in Whittlesey, which has received an improved rating once in the last five years, was assessed by the Care Quality Commission after an inspection was confirmed from the care home car park.  “This was to establish the personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for our visit and to ensure we were aware of any person living at the service who may be shielding, enabling us to respond accordingly,” inspectors said.

The founder of Capita and his wife have lost their battle to block an overly large, six-bedroom house from being built after claiming it will overshadow his own mansion.  Sir Rodney Aldridge warned the house would invade his privacy, along with his wife Carol, at their home on a millionaire s playground, estate in Surrey.   The couple, thought to be worth around £135m, signed a letter to Elmbridge Borough Council accusing developers of trying to maximise the commercial value of the neighbouring plot by building an overly large property on the 0.2 hectare site. Spalding-based developer puts in plans for office space and new store for farm shop in Surfleet  | Updated: 17:26, 13 January 2021 A Spalding based developer has submitted a planning application to create a new office space which will focus on sustainability. Kirk Homes Ltd has submitted the plans for a site to the North of Spalding Farm Shop on Scoldhall Lane in Surfleet, where the firm is hoping to replace former farm buildings with an office and yard, along with a new purpose-built store to support the Spalding Farm Shop. Company director James Kirk says that if it is approved, the site will have a large focus on sustainability and taking care of wildlife in the area.
