Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts has recalled a time when the BBC One show left him in tears .
Martin, 57, has presented the show for 18 years since it started in 2003 and has said the best part of the job is meeting the people behind the homes.
The property expert said many people have told him how the BBC show helped them through difficult times , and he recalled one particular person who left him and the crew welling up. There s times when it really hits home how much the show becomes a part of people s lives, Martin said.
