Donald Trump promises orderly transition but calls grow for use of 25th Amendment to oust him from office
Mob rule: rioters took over Capitol building but Trump has still not condemned the violence DONALD Trump has for the first time agreed to an “orderly transition” of power after the US Congress ratified Joe Biden’s victory and political leaders across the globe denounced the violent storming of the Capitol building. Priti Patel, the Home Secretary, blamed the President directly for inciting the violence, which resulted in the deaths of four people, including one woman, who was shot in the chest.
Humza Yousaf said Home Secretary Priti Patel should give serious consideration to denying him entry . He said the US President had incited a violent mob and his default is to stir up racial tension. It came as Ms Patel blamed Mr Trump s incendiary comments for directly provoking violence from a mob loyal to the President when they stormed the US Capitol in an attempt to overturn the election and prevent Joe Biden taking to the White House. Donald Trump with Boris Johnson in 2019 THE Home Secretary should stop Donald Trump from entering the UK if he comes here after leaving office, Humza Yousaf has said. Scotland’s Justice Secretary called on Priti Patel to prevent the US president from entering the UK after horrifying scenes in Washington last night. Trump supporters – many of them armed – falsely claiming the election was rigged, stormed the Capitol buildings as lawmakers met to certify Joe Biden’s election win. One protester was shot dead by police, while three others died of “medical emergencies”. Some 52 people were arrested, most of them for breaking the 6pm curfew put in place during the chaos by the Washington mayor.
