Carer s Allowance rules have changed - latest measures are in place until May 2021

The DWP confirmed it meant unpaid carers would remain being able to claim Carer s Allowance if they have a temporary break in caring, because either they or the person they care for has coronavirus, or if either have to isolate because of it. Proving emotional support will continue to count towards the Carer s Allowance threshold of 35 hours of care per week, the DWP added.
