16 succumb to virus as 92 others fight for life in ICU

349 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample size of 4,208 tested in the last 24 hours.
This brings the total number of confirmed Covid-19 infections in the country to 171,084.

“All of them are late death reports from facility record audits conducted on diverse dates in the months of April and May,” the Ministry of Health reported.
At the same time, 92 patients are battling for their lives in ICU; 21 of whom are on ventilatory support and 54 on supplemental oxygen while 17 others are under observation.
444 people have tested positive for the disease, from a sample size of 4,989 tested. The positivity rate is now 8.9%. Total confirmed positive cases are now 170,485 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,806,438.

115 patients have recovered, 76 from the Home Based & Isolation Care program while 39 are from various health facilities countrywide. Total recoveries now stand at 116,133 of whom 84,426 are from Home Based Care & Isolation program, & 31,707 are from various health facilities.
