ASHEVILLE - A 26-year-old North Carolina woman died in a single-car accident Dec. 19 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, according to a statement issued by the National Park Service.
Parkway dispatchers received a call at 7:30 a.m. with a report of a single motor vehicle accident near Milepost 390 on the parkway, which is between the Hendersonville Road entrance in South Asheville and the Brevard Road entrance.
Jasmine Weiker, 26, of Oak Island, was found dead on the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the accident, when parkway rangers and local rescue crews arrived on scene, according to the news statement.
