WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Rachel Williams is a librarian at West Vigo Middle School.
While students were on virtual learning, Williams loaded up her minivan with all of her school s most popular library books and dropped them off at students homes.
Students were able to request certain books through their teachers and Williams would go on a small route through West Terre Haute.
Williams said it gave her and her co-workers a chance to see their students after being away for a while.
The teachers and I, the rest of the staff at my school and all the other schools have been stuck behind these computer screens for 7-8 hours a day. We re not used to that. Williams said. We re used to so much interaction. The new things that have been asked of us, we ve had to really accept it, move on and adapt. This was just one way to do that.
