VISTA , Calif. (CNS) - A 31-year-old Vista man was arrested on suspicion of multiple felony weapons charges after he led deputies on a short pursuit to his Vista home, where authorities allegedly found multiple guns and tools to modify guns.
Deputies spotted Jeremy Brink, a convicted felon with a history of carrying concealed home-built firearms, possibly driving impaired on Mercantile Street, north of state Route 78, at about 2 a.m. Saturday, said San Diego County sheriff s Sgt. Nicholas Backouris.

A 31-year-old Vista man was arrested on suspicion of multiple felony weapons charges early Saturday after he led deputies on a short pursuit to his Vista home, where authorities allegedly found multiple guns and tools to modify guns.
Deputies spotted the man, who they suspected was driving impaired, on Mercantile Street, north of state Route 78, at about 2 a.m. Saturday, said San Diego County sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Backouris. The man is a convicted felon with a history of carrying concealed home-built firearms, he said.
The driver failed to pull over for deputies and led them on a brief pursuit that ended at his home on Astro Court, less than a mile away, Backouris said. He parked his pickup in the driveway of the home, locked the doors and yelled for his parents.
CARLSBAD (KUSI) – A 32-year-old man was shot and wounded today after a party at a Carlsbad resort, police said.
Shots were fired at 2:12 a.m. Sunday at the MarBrisa Carlsbad Resort in the 1500 block of Marbrisa Circle, according to Jodee Reyes, Public Information Officer for the Carlsbad Police Department.
Police found the man, who was not immediately identified, suffering from a gunshot wound, Reyes said.
Fire department medics provided medical aid and took him to a hospital, where he was in stable condition Sunday morning, Reyes said.
Police investigators interviewed several witnesses and collected evidence.
Bernardo Vazquez, 19, from Mississippi, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, a misdemeanor, and was being held on $15,000 bail at the Vista Detention Facility, according to online records.
