BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Officials with Louisiana State Police (LSP) say 14 vehicles, including three jackknifed 18-wheelers, were involved in a crash near Whiskey Bay on an icy I-10 during the early morning hours of Monday, Feb. 15.
LSP Trooper Taylor Scrantz says a sheriff’s deputy’s cruiser and an ambulance responding to the crash were also hit by other vehicles while heading to the scene.

UPDATE: As of noon on Sunday, all lanes were open on the basin bridge at Whiskey Bay.
The right lane on I-10 West at Whiskey Bay had been blocked since early Sunday.
There was a crash on that part of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge; both lanes were blocked for several hours. The left lane was opened at about 10 a.m., but the right lane remained blocked all morning, with congestion of about six miles as of 11 a.m.
