Funds Meant For Hindu Temples In Karnataka Will No Longer Be Spent On Other Religious Institutions

Karnataka government has ordered that the funds of the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions And Charitable Endowments (HRCE) Department also known as Muzrai department be no longer used to fund any non-Hindu religious institutions.
In response to the recent outrage by various Hindu groups and leaders against the distribution of tastik money from the HRCE to priests and staff of other religious institutions, Minister for Muzrai Kota Srinivas Poojary directed that all such acts of financial support from the department be halted with immediate effect.

Mangaluru: A 23-year-old Muslim man from Karnataka’s Mangaluru is currently critical after a mob of right-wing activists stabbed him, because he was accompanying a Hindu woman on a bus.
The incident took place in coastal Dakshina Kannada district, in a bus en route Bengaluru from Mangaluru on Thursday night. It was not ascertained how the group of attackers came to know of the victim, his identity and his travel details.
The man, identified as Anwar Mohammad, was accompanying his friend from school to Bengaluru who had a job offer in the city. At around 9:30 pm at night, the bus was stopped at Pumpwell circle by a group of men who raised questions about the interfaith duo traveling together.

At least 40 people have been arrested in Gujarat s Kutch district after three cases were filed to look into the violence on Sunday that allegedly left one man dead and several others injured, including policemen. The arrests have been made on charges of murder, rioting, arson and conspiracy among others.
On Sunday, clashes broke out between members of two communities during a procession to collect funds for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the police said.
