MANGALURU: As many as 510 final year students of Mangalore University who could not take their examination a few months back due to Covid-19 have been given an opportunity to take it through special examinations. The special examinations will be held from December 23 to January 8, 2021, said PL Dharma, registrar (evaluation).
The examination will be held at seven centres including the one at Sri Lanka High commission office. The other centres are: University College, Hampankatta, FMKMC, Madikeri, Vivekananda College, Puttur, Alvas College, Moodbidri, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College, Udupi and Mangalagangothri campus.
Earlier, special examinations were allowed only to those candidates who were part of sports, NCC, NSS and cultural activities. But this is the first time the government has allowed others who missed the end semester examinations due to Covid-19.
