A&M-Texarkana Alumni Association Honors Nursing Graduates and All Faculty Members as 2020 Distinguished Alumni and Faculty Each year the Texas A&M University-Texarkana Alumni Association honors several distinguished alumni and faculty for their success and contributions to both the university and to the community at large.
The distinguished alumni and faculty are typically announced early in the fall and are honored at the university’s annual Eagle Roundup, a large, outdoor event with live music that raises money for student scholarships at A&M-Texarkana.
The annual Eagle Roundup, hosted by the TAMUT Alumni Association, was not held in its traditional form due to concerns caused by COVID-19. For the 2020 Eagle Roundup the university and community sponsors raised money by holding a drawing for a Honda Pioneer 500 side-by-side and a weeklong getaway at a Sandestin, Florida condominium. 3rd Annual Perot Holiday Traditions Dec. 19 [Update]
The Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council, City of Texarkana, Texas, and Texarkana Arts and Historic District are partnering with the Perot Theatre to present the 3rd annual Perot Holiday Traditions on December 19, 2020.
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure and Frozen will play on the largest indoor movie screen in Texarkana at 10:00 a.m. with a repeat of the short film Olaf’s Frozen Adventure along with Frozen II at 2:00 p.m. Festivities on Main Street, including Santa Claus, food trucks, and vendors, will be available from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in front of the theatre. There is a one hundred percent chance of snow all day on Main Street too!
