2021 Pathfinder Awards: 54 outstanding high school seniors recognized
In high school careers disrupted by virtual classes and shuttered campuses, Palm Beach County’s star high school seniors found no shortage of ways to excel.
They conducted cancer research. They performed at Carnegie Hall. They published books of poetry and magazine photos. They designed educational programs and won awards for movie shorts.
Fifty-four of the county’s brightest high school stars were recognized Thursday at the 2021 Pathfinder High School Scholarship Awards – for achievements both inside and outside the classroom.
The 38th annual event, organized by The Palm Beach Post, recognized 54 students for outstanding achievements in 18 categories, from drama and computer science to community involvement and literature.

NAUGATUCK â Some teachers may prefer to take it slow when theyâre not in the classroom, but Naugatuck High School math teacher Andrea Fitzgerald has a need for speed.
The 54-year-old Woodbury resident races sports cars as her pastime.
Fitzgerald is a member of the Connecticut Autocross & Rally Team or CART, an independent club of sports and performance car enthusiasts. The club sponsors several autocross and track events during the year. The club focuses on advanced car handling techniques and responsive driving, and also hosts events for charities.

The transaxle was reportedly stored for several decades prior to acquisition from Massachusetts by its current owner in 2020. It is now fitted to a steel display stand with axles, axle tubes, drum brake assemblies, and a starter. This 550 Spyder transaxle is offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner in New York with a copy of a letter from Porsche verifying its origin and a documentation file, the auction website said.
