Highs will be close to 90 again under a partly cloudy sky. It s the cold front Friday that brings the threat for strong to severe storms. At this point in time, North Alabama is in a Marginal Risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather Friday. Gusty wind and hail are the main threats. Once the front passes late Friday afternoon, temperatures take a dive just in time for the weekend.
Highs Saturday will actually be below average by several degrees. Sunday and Memorial Day are warmer, though. We ll be in the mid 80s to close out the holiday weekend and storm chances hold off until Tuesday.

Clouds clear to sunshine Thursday with a few pop-up showers and a stray storm by the afternoon. Better storm chances begin Friday afternoon. An isolated strong to severe storm is possible tomorrow.

Highs will warm to the upper-80s Thursday afternoon. The low clouds from this morning will gradually clear to partly sunny skies by lunchtime. We do expect a few showers and a stray storm to two Thursday afternoon but most areas should remain dry today.

DETROIT – Welcome to Saturday, Motown.
Feels like summer again today with a slight chance of some showers. After a warm night, the better chance of wet and stormy weather with higher humidity exists tomorrow. Although not a guarantee, there’s a chance of some severe thunderstorms. A respite from the high heat will be, Monday. Then it gets hotter again, the middle of next week.
Debris clouds from last night’s Wisconsin and Illinois showers float overhead Saturday morning. We’ll have a warm start with temps in the 60s and low 70s at dawn and breakfast time.
