Monday, basketball superstar James posted “Protect our Young Black Women and Men.” A comment in response from Stephen Bruno Jr. reads “Eat a [eggplant emoji].” That emoji commonly refers to a male body part.

Police search for person of interest after fatal shooting in downtown Houston Published:  Updated:  Tags:  After a fatal shooting downtown, authorities are trying to identify a person of interest wanted for questioning (HPD) HOUSTON – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man in downtown Houston. The incident was reported around 1:15 p.m. Sunday at a convenience store on Runnels Street near Chartres Street and the Eastex Freeway. Police said the victim, 26-year-old Kristen Askew, left a nearby apartment complex and walked to the convenience store to buy some items. Once at the store, police said Askew got into an argument with someone in the parking lot and ended up being shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
