OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Public School Board has selected David Goetz as the next superintendent of the district. Goetz is currently the interim superintendent at Williams County School District #8 in Williston, ND.  The school board made their decision following two days of public interviews with the finalists. He will succeed Dr. Kraig Steinhoff who submitted his resignation to the board in March. Goetz will be formally approved as superintendent at the board’s next regular meeting later this month.  Once approved, Goetz will begin his employment with the district on July 1, 2021.
