Diego Maya, of the Latino Spirit, is live simulcasting Camden s school board meetings in Spanish. Activists in New Jersey believe it could set a precedent for the state.

Janet Pablo, a Camden mother of three, says when the clock read 5:30 p.m. on March 23, she dropped what she was doing at home and clicked the Facebook app on her phone as the local school board meeting began streaming.
With her kids preparing to return to classrooms after more than a year of remote learning, she was eager to hear updates.
