McCallie Finishes Runner-Up At TISCA Championships Powe, Hanger, Maupin And Kinley Set School Record In 200 Medley Relay Wednesday, April 28, 2021 - photo by Contributed The McCallie Swimming and Diving team wrapped up a tremendous three-year run with a runner up finish in this year’s Tennessee Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association State Championships April 24 and 25. The Blue Tornado were state champions in 2019 and tied for the state title in 2020.   At this year’s delayed state meet, McCallie placed second with 270 team points, finishing behind Baylor who led with 338.   Because of Covid-19 precautions, the meet was held in five separate regions across the state, and the event times of each region were compared to determine winners and place finishes.
