When viewers last left off, a drug-induced Clarice barely escaped the hospital before VICAP showed up at the behest of Adrelia Mapp. Viewers also witnessed the introduction of mysterious new villain, while the other, Dr. Marilyn Felker, took her own life for the cause.
Clarice is quickly side-lined from duty again, while not being able to remember the man s face, but unlike the last time she went and did something on her own, the VICAP team doesn t personally punish her for it, instead they push ahead to find answers (
which was a nice change of pace).

For the past 15 years, I have covered the Grammys for The Commercial Appeal. As the paper’s music critic I’ve reported on big wins by Memphis icons from Justin Timberlake to Al Green, Isaac Hayes to William Bell. But on Sunday, my coverage of the 63rd annual ceremonies came with an odd but wonderful complication: I won a Grammy.
Since I don’t play an instrument, sing, or otherwise have any discernible musical ability (my 3rd-grade violin teacher can attest to that fact) this would seem a shocking development. But in addition to all the awards that (at least in theory) necessitate musical talent, there is also a Grammy that recognizes the year s Best Album Notes. I was honored for the notes I wrote for a box set by Minneapolis alt-rockers The Replacements called “Dead Man’s Pop.”
