LAKEWOOD, IL Crystal Lake Central graduate and Lakewood native Grace Kinstler made it to the final three of American Idol, but was eliminated Sunday night after the first round of voting.
Fellow finalists Willie Spence and Chayce Beckham continued on in the competition with Beckham eventually being picked as this year s winner. Kinstler, 20, has been lauded throughout the season for her strong vocal skills. Thank you to everyone for your support; tonight was amazing, and I am so grateful for each and every one of you, Kinstler tweeted early Monday.

During Sunday s show, 20-year-old Kinstler performed Celine Dion s All By Myself, and Whitney Houston s I Have Nothing.
The friends of American Idol runner-up Willie Spence are reacting to the season finale and the future of the Georgia native. American Idol finally named its newest winner last night in country singer Chayce Beckham. As you can likely imagine, there are plenty of fans who were rooting for either runner-up Willie Spence or third place finalist Grace Kinstler to come out on top, but there was another moment of the night which was also talked about a lot, and this one involved host Ryan Seacrest. And, several fans were not at all happy with Seacrest after he made what they felt was a tone-deaf joke about the new Season 19 winner.

The big announcement came after a three-hour music-filled celebration.
Beckham appeared alongside the season s runner-up, Willie Spence, on Good Morning America Monday to discuss the culmination of the epic season. It was crazy experiencing that, Beckham said about the moment he heard his name announced as the next winner of Idol.
