Hundreds of people gathered outside Versailles Restaurant in Little Havana Sunday afternoon in solidarity with the demonstrations in Cuba protesting against the communist regime.
Cuban flags, music by Willy Chirino, and T-shirts with the phrase “Patria y Vida” Spanish for “Homeland and life” were the common denominator during the demonstration. Protesters shouted “freedom” in unison as cars with flags drove along 8th Street, honking their horns.

Varios artistas y activistas internacionales como Jeancarlos Canela, Emilio Estefan, Willy Chirino y Rosa María Payá, entre otros, están liderando otra protesta que se realizará mañana en la Torre de la Libertad a las 5:30 de la tarde, en apoyo a la difícil situación que está viviendo el pueblo cubano.
En este evento se exhibirá un montaje de 150 videos de la isla y culminará a las 8:30 de la noche con la Torre de la Libertad iluminada en rojo, blanco y azul en representación de la bandera cubana.
Esta tarde con el compositor Jean Carlos Canela quien implora al gobierno de los Estados Unidos ayudar a Cuba en su lucha por la libertad. Les muestro que nos dijo, además, que “Tenemos que apoyarnos entre nosotros tenemos que unificarnos como posición unificar nuestras voces y queremos que nuestros gobiernos nos escuchen y esto es un llamado a los medios. Queremos mandar un mensaje al mundo no solamente un mensaje de solidaridad al pueblo cubano sino para poner en aviso
