AN HGV driver answered a distress call from his pregnant wife and was rushing home when police stopped him for dangerous driving.
Robert Duguid was in his own car when police saw him speeding over the Kessock Bridge on March 21, last year.
The 26-year-old father of two then harshly accelerated out of the 50mph zone into the national speed limit and reached 110mph.
Docherty was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2013 TRIBUTES have poured in for Gorbals-born former Scotland and Manchester United manager Tommy Docherty, who has passed away aged 92. The Glaswegian, affectionately known as ‘The Doc’, famously took Manchester United down to the second division in 1974 before bringing the club straight back up as champions. Docherty, who began his playing career when he joined junior football club Shettleston and was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2013, died at home in the north-west of England. His family confirmed the news on Thursday. A family spokesperson said in a statement released: Tommy passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home.

AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) - Each month, WALB and Montlick and Associates take time to recognize the “Heroes Among Us.”
In 2016, WALB spoke with Willie Yarbrough, who, along with fellow veteran Arthur Cooper, helped found American Legion Post 558′s annual “Christmas Joy” project.
Cooper passed away several years ago. Jayne Yarbrough wanted to continue the project this year in honor of her father, Willie Yarbrough, who died from COVID-19. (Source: WALB)
At the time, Yarbrough, a former member of the National Guard, explained that he would continue the project as long as he could.
