Hours and menus:
Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily; light fare, 3:30 to 8 p.m. daily;
happy hour, 4:30 to 6 p.m. weekdays, starting Monday (4/19);
dinner, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday;
brunch11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Among the things I’ve got my eye on are $7 lobster corn dogs and $3 beer at happy hour, asparagus with crab and burrata ($18 at lunch and dinner) and, at brunch, a pulled-pork Benedict ($15).

WHAT: This year, Auction of Washington Wines’ annual Wine & Music event will take place over a full week to celebrate the bounty of Washington wine paired with an online auction, virtual concerts and winemaker dinners. May 18-23, guests are invited to participate from wherever they are, and those ready to venture out can gather at intimate wine-focused dinners in eastern Washington wine country.
The virtual auction will showcase some of Washington’s most coveted wineries and experiences through 120 auction lots. Lots include a six-year vertical of Sangiovese from one of Washington’s best-known wineries, Leonetti Cellar; a staycation in Woodinville at the boutique Archer Hotel; and tickets to a Train concert held anywhere within the United States before December 2022, complete with airfare from Alaska Airlines.

For the past year, COVID-19 has put a stop to many major gatherings on the islands, including the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club’s annual Spaghetti Dinner. But, the club has a new event that promises to be both fun and safe: the Kiwanis Online Silent Auction.
Available for browsing, the auction Website features unusual items and exciting experiences. Listings include resort and hotel stays, golf outings, sporting goods, fishing and sightseeing trips, artwork, custom chef-prepared dinners, private wine tasting dinner party, home services, legal consultation and even a rare collector’s item, a vintage 1969 Honda 350 motorcycle in pristine condition.
